HAMA UNDER SEIGEJuly 3 - Aug. 4, 2011
Hama was became one of the main opposition centers in June. At the end of the month, security forces withdrew from the city, but put up a blockade. On July 31, on the eve of Ramadan, troops and tanks stormed the city and began clearance operations. After two weeks, forces withdrew.
