How tens of thousands of computers were infected with Ransomware

While the map does not show every computer that was infected by the ransomware, it shows that the attack struck simultaneously in many countries around the globe. MalwareTech collected the data by taking control of one of the domain names used in the attack.

The map shows infected computers that attempted to communicate with the server between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Eastern. Some infections between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. were not recorded.
